Chemical specific solenoid valve

Chemical specific solenoid valves are special valves designed for corrosive media, high-pressure and high-temperature working conditions, and flammable and explosive environments in the chemical industry. The core is to adapt to the core requirements of "strong corrosion, high risk, and high stability" in chemical production.

1. Core Features (Suitable for Chemical Industry Scenarios)

Strong corrosion resistance: The valve body and valve core are preferably made of 316L stainless steel, Hastelloy, PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) and other materials, which can withstand corrosive media such as acid and alkali (such as sulfuric acid, caustic soda), organic solvents (such as methanol, acetone), salt spray, etc., to avoid valve core jamming or valve body leakage.

Explosion proof safety design: The coils are often designed with explosion-proof (Ex d) or intrinsic safety (Ex ia) structures, and the enclosure sealing protection level reaches IP65/IP67. They can be safely used in flammable and explosive gas environments in chemical workshops, eliminating the risk of electric sparks.

Strong adaptability to working conditions: able to withstand a wide range of pressures (0.1MPa~42MPa) and temperatures (-50 ~300 , with special models up to 500 ), suitable for complex working conditions such as "high temperature steam, low temperature refrigerant, and high-pressure reactor discharge" in chemical production.

Zero leakage sealing: Using PTFE gaskets or metal hard sealing structures, combined with pilot or direct acting valve core design, to ensure no leakage of highly toxic, flammable, and valuable media, in compliance with environmental and safety regulations in the chemical industry.

2. Key technical specifications

Media compatibility: Clearly label the compatible types such as "acid/alkali/organic solvent resistant", and some models support mixed media (such as acid-base mixtures).

Pressure rating: Conventional nominal pressures of 1.6MPa, 2.5MPa, 10MPa, and high-pressure models can reach up to 42MPa (suitable for reaction vessels and high-pressure pipelines).

Power and Control: Supports AC220V, DC24V (commonly used in industry), with manual emergency operation function (can be manually switched on and off in case of power outage to ensure production continuity).

Connection method: flange connection (suitable for large-diameter pipelines, such as DN50~DN200), internal thread connection (small-diameter pipelines, such as DN10~DN40), to meet the standardized installation requirements of chemical pipelines.

3. Typical application scenarios

Feed/discharge control of acid-base storage tanks (such as solenoid valve switches for sulfuric acid storage tanks);

The medium ratio and on/off control of chemical reaction vessels (such as catalyst addition pipelines);

Valve switching of corrosive wastewater treatment system;

Safe connection and disconnection of pipelines transporting flammable and explosive solvents (such as ethanol and toluene).

4. Key considerations for selection and installation

Selection must be based on the medium: the material should be matched according to the "corrosive strength, temperature, viscosity" of the medium (for example, Hastelloy alloy is preferred for strong oxidizing media, and ordinary PTFE is avoided for high-temperature media).

Installation of anti impurity: Chemical media are prone to residue, and a filter with a mesh of at least 100 should be installed in front of the solenoid valve to prevent the valve core from getting stuck.

Explosion proof compliance: The installation area should correspond to the explosion-proof level of the coil (if there is hydrogen in the workshop, Ex d IIB T4 level is required) to avoid unauthorized use.
